contactar

so i just spent a couple of morning hours trying to figure up how to get information about the university de san martin, with no success. i just found out that following the visits of his fellow italian philosophers roberto esposito was here and we never found out about it. the question is then who is the we, and then yes, people in anthropology at the university of buenos aires. it is probably that the "networks" of those institutions do not touch each other, even when we do have acquaintances there. this is not unlique ubc where the departments seem to work in "quintas" too, but just differently organized. in any case it reminds me the verb "contactar" i tend to use so much in here. how do i get information, and i provide information to others is something done not through an institution or a place but by contacting someone who knows about it or has the book we are looking for (yesterday a friend was thanking me a pdf on lefebvre i sent and she got form a common friend).

i am glad we found out butler is coming (but this was broadly announced) and i was able to navigate the program of the feria del libro, in which is relatively impossible to see what is going on. unless you type a name in the search engine you have talks about macrobiotics and food, beside nation building and falun dafa and a book signing.

and i was glad to find out that today after writing this and going to puan i met a compañero de equipo, who works in unsam and is interested in the italians lots, and didn´t know about the visit either, anyway.

anyways i am starting my field work and is all about getting cotacted to the people, but also one the main reasons for letting me bother them is that i may contact them with new circles and pass information they might need so to avoid "no estaba sabiendo que había una fiesta en la plata asi que no me fui, pero de golpe todos se habian ido y me dejaron de casera" as a women in her late 20 told me on sunday on our way back to "capital" where i live and she lives "cama adentro".

Mientras tanto esta informacion me llego ya unas 8 veces.
